Like any great athlete will tell you, streaks can be an important way of measuring success but like all historic events, they too come to an end. I had a pretty good streak going for a while, it had been 12 days since I had the pleasure of changing a "dirty" diaper. Sure I changed lots of wet ones, but Mom seemed to be having a streak of her own.
Now I'm not trying to compare changing diapers to a streak like Cal Ripken Jr.'s 2632 consecutive played baseball games, but ask yourself which is harder, changing a diaper filled with a substance previously unknown to man without any protection or standing next to a bag for 3 hours catching a ball (with a glove)?
Anyways, all that came to an end about 15 minutes ago when I was surprised to find a substance looking amazing similar to streamed spinach located at the bottom of Boy Wonders diaper. Truth be told, I knew the streak was over when the haz/mat folks showed up due to the smell.
Ah, the joys of parenthood.
